1. It Should Be All About Leh Today!

2. Go To Local Places Or Go For A Drive To Lamayuru

You can use your second day to explore Leh deeply by going to Stok Palace Museum, Sindhu Ghat, Shey Palace and other famous monasteries like Thikse Monastery, Sankar Monastery, etc. Those interested in visiting monasteries can also go for Hemis Monastery, the largest and wealthiest monastery of Leh Ladakh, located 45 kms from Leh.

If you are done with sight seeing and want to try something different for the second day, then you can go for a drive on the Srinagar Leh Highway towards Lamayuru. While on this drive you can admire the surrounding beauty of the road as well as see Indus – Zanskar Confluence, Patthar Sahib Gurudwara and the famous Magnetic Hills.

3. Cross The Khardung La And Visit The Gorgeous Nubra Valley

By now you would get accustomed to the high altitude as well as the climate of the place well. So, now you are good to cross your first high altitude pass, that is Khardung La. It is considered as the highest motorable road in the whole world at 18380 feet. Stay here for a small while, drink some tea, have some refreshments, click a few pictures, admire the majestic snow-covered peaks and get going to reach Nubra Valley.

4. Visit the Pangong Tso Lake

Pangong Tso is a high grassland lake lying at a height of 14, 270 ft. Over the time, this lake has got itself some loyal followers which has resulted in a tremendous hike in its popularity and the lake becoming a must visit place when in Ladakh. You can visit the Pangong Tso Lake directly from Nubra Valley through a direct connecting road. While travelling you can witness some pure natural beauty and when at the lake the view will literally take your breath away.

5. Return Back To Leh through Chang La

Being the last day, you must return back to Leh. But this return is also nothing less special, as it is time for you to cross your second-high altitude pass, Chang La. The return journey mostly takes approximately 8 hours on an average. While returning you can also visit the Thiksey Monastery which lies in the way, only if you haven’t gone there before.
