Owing to the hectic schedule, unavailability to attend the vote, severe illness, and many other reasons, the trend of online voting in India is on the edge. The first extensive use of e-vote was executed in the USA in 1964. Now India is going to host its biggest festival of democracy in the upcoming March and April in 2019. This is the time of the LokSabha Election. The Indian citizens will choose the ruling party for the nation and as well as the MPs for the next five years. The political parties have planned their propaganda and campaigns.

Now vote is incomplete without the voters. Also, voting is a democratic process and it is a fundamental right of every Indian citizen to cast their vote. But to give vote one needs to know if his/her name is on the voter list or not. In the past, after the election date was declared people would visit their Panchayat office or ward office to inquire about the list. It was quite a time-consuming process. It was not physically possible for many because they lacked time.

But now India is getting a digitalized makeover. The Election Commission of India has launched online voting registration in India. Therefore, this tedious process can be done with just a few clicks. You can check your name on the voter list in your computer, laptop or smartphone at any time any place.  Although E-Voting systemis still a debatable process in India, this online process is going to benefit many people.
